New Comic In The Works by Blotch Team.

The Blotch team [deviant: screwbald], composed of BlackTegan(sketches) and Kenket(colors) have been hard at work developing the upcoming graphic novel titled Across Thin Ice. Famous for their cover art featured on Sofawolf press' New Fables and Heat they are quickly attraction the interest of the fur community. Team Blotch has been working together since 2006 and is famous for their webcomic Dog's Days of Summer.

This new comic is part of the Nordguard Trilogy. From the images posted on the Blotch Blog the comic looks very detailed and professional with a deep back story. Set in a parallel universe in the time of the Northern Territory Gold Rush it's a 100 page tale you won't want to miss.



If all goes well be on the lookout for Across Thin Ice by Sofawolf by Summer 2011.

Voting has opened for Ursa Major Awards.

The Ursa Major Awards are now open for voting. Anyone with an e-mail can vote as voting is done by fans and not a committee. The Ursa Major Awards are presented by a committee known as the Anthropomorphic Literature and Arts Association(AALA). The UMA's are presented to the best Film, Fiction, Comic, Short Story, Magazine, and Published Art in the furry fandom every year. Some Films that were chosen for the awards this year are: James Cameron's Avatar, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Up by Pixar animation, and Disney's The Princess and The Frog.
The Awards also nominate top games with an anthro theme my pick this year was Earth Eternal, a browser based MMORPG with options to chose from several furry themed races. Another notable entry into this years games category is Quentin Long's Predation. This board game puts two players against one another as predator and prey.The game consists of a hexagonal pattern board with a den and a warren. The object of the game is to capture all the other players pieces and put them into extinction.
In the other category I found a book I actually purchased this year: "Draw Furries: How to Create Anthropomorphic and Fantasy Animals". This book has many colorful illustrations of the furry kind giving tips and tricks from everything to easy sketches to full color Furry colored works.

Also noted that The Cat Piano was nominated in best animation short.

G4TV regularly does videos on fetish related topics in a segment titled WTF.
We knew furries was coming along eventually.
